The first meeting of the National People's Charter Advisory Council took place today at the parliamentary complex.
Chairman of the Public Service Commission Josefa Serulagilagi said the Advisory Council is the first agency to be established as a build-up mechanism to the People's Charter Council.
He said the Commission will do all it can to see that definite alignments are made to the roadmap, objectives of the people's charter and the strategic framework for change for each government agency.
Meanwhile, the Advisory Council has appointed three sub-committees which will look after the Economic, governance and social aspects and will be headed by Dewan Chand Maharaj, Ratu Filimoni Ralogaivau and Peni Moore.
