The National Budget for 2008 is expected to be announced on Friday 2nd November, 2007.
Various ministries are submitting their budget proposals to the Finance Ministry on areas where they need additional funding.
Ministry Officials confirm they are in final stages of preparing the National Budget.
The National Budget will be announced by the Interim Finance, National Planning and Sugar Minister, Mahendra Chaudhry.
Chaudhry is currently in a cabinet meeting and was unable to be contacted and Finance Permanent Secretary, Peceli Vocea is expected to comment later.
