National Air Carrier, Air Pacific and Pacific Sun will outsource its telephone reservations services to an independently owned global contact centre specialists, MindPearl effective from 1st November this year.

Air Pacific's Managing Director John Campbell said their current telephone reservations centres in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji will close, and all reservation calls from these three countries will be routed to Mindpearl 24 hours, 7 days in Suva throughout the year.

He said when the current North American Call centre contract expires in 2010, all calls from North America will be routed to Mindpearl in Fiji as well.

Campbell said the New Call Centre will provide Air Pacific and Pacific Sun customers continuous service all throughout the year to make new reservations, ticket purchases, queries on travel and alterations to bookings.

He said Air Pacific welcomes MindPearl to Fiji and is excited by the opportunities that the new facility presents.

Meanwhile, Mindpearl's Executive Officer William Patterson said that they hope to employ 2000 people in the span of three years and provide sufficient service to people.
