The Digicel Fiji 7's team suffered one of their biggest defeats in the IRB 7's series when they went down 34 points to 7 in the final of the George 7's, to New Zealand.

The Etonia Naba led side, struggled to find their form as the Kiwis applied pressure from the opening whistle forcing Fiji to commit mistakes.

In the game, we were let down by our discipline as two yellow cards were shown to Emosi Vucago in the first half and Setefano Cakau in the second half.

New Zealand had a 24 points to nil lead in the first half, and Fiji's only try came in the second half to Neumi Nanuku.

The Gordon Tietjens coached side scored two more tries in the second half and showed the Fijians that they will be the team to beat in the IRB 7's series.

New Zealand now leads the IRB 7's points table with 40 points while Fiji lies in second place with 32 points.

The next leg of the IRB 7's series next year will be held in Wellington in February.
