The Natadola Bay resort and golf course is expected to become one of the major players in the tourism industry within months of its opening last night.
Speaking from Natadola Bay Resort, Fiji National Provident Fund board member James Datta said it is an investment which the nation should be proud of.
He said the resort now boasts to have one of the best beaches in the world.
Tourism Fiji Chairman Patrick Wong said Natadola resort will open alot of doors for growth and for the local communities.
The 400 room resort, funded by the FNPF is expected to employ more than 400 local workers and cost around $240 million to construct.
