This month will be a very special time for the Natabua School community as they mark the 80th anniversary of their school where more than 20,000 students have walked through corridors since 1930.

Initially set as the first secondary school for Indian boys, the secondary school section was established with enrollment of only 14 pupils.

The school also served the first 11 years as a teacher's training school with one principal serving both schools.

During the same period some 130 boys were enrolled at the school before girls were allowed to enroll in 1938.

President of the Natabua Old Scholars association Ledua Vakaloloma said the anniversary is an achievement for the former students as well as the current school community to have come this far.

Vakaloloma added that it will be a unique reunion.
