Divisional Police Commander Eastern, SP Emosi Baleinuku has this morning confirmed that Senior Police Officer Nasir Ali needs to start as the Station Officer in Levuka with immediate effect.
Speaking to Village News Baleinuku said he has received a letter from the Commissioner of Police in which it states that Ali has been transferred to his division.
Baleinuku said Ali has no option but take up his new post.
Ali was appointed as the Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police Crime last year. Director CID, Waisea Vakamocea has now taken over the post.
Ali is not taking any phone calls.
