A 39-year-old woman from Nasinu is under investigation for allegedly burying her new born baby a few metres from her house.
Fijivillage has received information that the matter came to light late last week and it was alleged that the woman had allegedly buried the baby in her compound.
Police were tipped off about the incident last Friday.
Spokesperson Ana Naisoro says the 39-year-old suspect has been questioned and released after the report was received last Friday night.
The investigation file has been handed over to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.
