The Nasinu soccer team has filed a protest against Savusavu after losing the first match by one goal to nil.

Fiji Football Association Chief Executive Bob Kumar said they received the protest yesterday afternoon and the hearing on the matter will take place this Saturday during their board meeting.

According to Kumar, Nasinu claim that Savusavu fielded a player named Mohammed Zulfikar who was not cleared to feature for the Northerners on Sunday.

Nasinu soccer officials will need to come up with their evidence this Saturday to get the much needed points.

As it is, Savusavu just needs a draw to make its way in the Super Premier Division while Nasinu will have to win the 2nd leg by at least two goals.

The 2nd leg of the Promotion relegation series between Nasinu and Savusavu will be played this Sunday at the TFL stadium at 3pm and you can catch a live commentary on our sister station, Radio Sargam.
