Residents of the greater Nasinu area are expected to face water disruptions throughout today as the Public Works Department has shutdown the Tovata Water system which supplies water to these areas.
Spokesperson Maika Nagalu said areas affected include, Tovata, Tuirara, and high areas of Makoi, Valelevu, New Town, Tacirua East, Upper Caubati and Cunningham.
Nagalu said they have shutdown the Tovata water system want to raise water level at Wainibuku reservoir which is experiencing low water level.
The water supply is expected to be normalized by 5pm today.
Meanwhile, Ba Resident, a customer who faces constant water problems said the reason people go to the media is because people are tired of the government's excuses.
Gyan Singh said people need water not excuses.
Meanwhile, Works Ministry Spokesperson had earlier said that people need to contact them if they do not receive water and not the media.
