The Nasinu Town Council is urging its ratepayers to pay their rates now.

Special Administrator Mosese Kama said more than $7 million is still owed to the council since its establishment in 2002.

Kama said from January to June this year the ratepayers have paid more than $1 million to the council and said they can only function well if rates are paid on time.

Kama added ratepayers can make arrangements on the payment of rates and if they fail then legal action will be taken.
