In an attempt to create employment, improve services and promote economic growth in Nasinu, the Nasinu Town Council is planning to develop the area as the Central Business Division.

Nasinu Administrator Ratu Meli Bogileka said they are planning to go ahead with some major projects from next year.

He said they have sighted the area beside the New World Supermarket in Valelevu for development as a few business people have shown interest in the Central Business Division development project and have bought land also.

He said they are planning to have a new service station and other facilities including a bank, hardware store, more cafes, more information technology outlets and pharmacies.

Ratu Meli said that the council will also be partnering with a few investors to build a big shopping mall at the end part of Valelevu Park.

According to Ratu Meli, Local Government Minister Colonel Samuela Saumata recently toured Nasinu and is confident about the major developments taking place in the area.
