Police have arrested a man of Nasinu for allegedly raping his 22yr old niece earlier this week.

Spokesperson Atunaisa Sokomuri said both of them were at a party on Wednesday after which upon returning home the uncle allegedly raped the woman.

No charges have been laid against the man yet, as police are still questioning him.

Meanwhile, Police are hunting for a man of Bulileka, Labasa for allegedly obstructing police officers yesterday afternoon.

Last night a team of police officers went to attend a dispute between two parties in Bulileka however the suspect allegedly blocked the feeder road leading to the scene by parking his car in the middle of the road.

Police officers were blocked there for over three hours before a tow truck was called in to remove the parked car from the middle of the road.

The suspect is known to police and they are hopeful he will be arrested soon. Upon investigation, it was revealed that the suspect's car was not licensed.

Meanwhile, Police are urging you to not let your kids, loved ones and friends out of sight as alot of families have chosen today to have their picnics around the country.

Sokomuri said police would like to have today crime, accident and incident free.
