Nasinu Secondary and Ballantine Memorial School are on track to defend their Suva Zone One athletics titles.

Nasinu currently leads the boys division with 2 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze while LDS is in second place with 2 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze. International Secondary is third with 2 gold, 1 bronze.

In the girls division Ballantine Memorial leads with 3 gold, 4 silver and 5 bronze while LDS lies in second place with 2 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze. Namosi is now in third place with 1 gold and 1 bronze.

So far only one record has been broken in the Inter Boys Javelin event.

LDS student, Semi Waqavatu broke the 21-year-old record with a throw of 53.0 metres while the old record was 51.88 set in 1987 by Bole Biulele of Suva Muslim College.
