The Nasinu soccer team continued from yesterday's impressive performance when they recorded their second win in the FMF/Blue Gas Battle of the Giants tournament with a 3-1 victory against Nadroga this morning.

Although Nadroga scored first, it was Nasinu who came back and equalised at half-time.

The Ravuama Madigi coached team increased their lead with two goals in the second half and are in contention for a semi-final spot as they are tied with Vodafone Labasa on 6 points in Pool 1.

Nasinu will take on Vodafone Ba tomorrow in their last pool game.

And in the last hour Power Electric/Vodafone Suva and Tavua plaed to a one all draw.

Game coming up this afternoon at 3.15pm the Southern Forest Navua side will just need a draw against Nadi to become the first team to book a spot in the semi-final on Sunday.

At 4.30pm the Vodafone Labasa team will also just need a draw against Nadroga to qualify for the semi-final.

In the feature game of the second day in the FMF/Blue Gas BOG defending champion Vodafone Ba will take on Lautoka at 5.45pm.


Both sides faces a must win situation to keep their chances of qualifing into the semi-final alive.

Lautoka coach Dennis Singh remains positive and believes they can beat Ba and Labasa.
