We hope the Local Government Ministry gets more money in the next budget especially for municipal council projects in the country.
With the 2009 Budget announcement expected next week, Nasinu Mayor Rajeshwar Kumar said each municipal council has a responsibility to their people and an increased allocation will go a long way in providing the much needed services to them.
Kumar said each municipal council has a challenge fund for capital projects and they will need a lot more money to cater for this.
