Residents living in Nasese who due to a power surge last week Wednesday had some of their electrical items damaged have been given until the end of the month to fully lodge their complaints with the Fiji Electricity Authority.

Chief Executive Officer Sunil De Silva said customers will have to provide a list of any damages to their electrical belongings with documentary evidence.

De Silva adds that it would be premature for the Authority to discuss compensation issues because the cause of the power surge must first be established.

FEA held a meeting with Nasese residents on Wednesday briefing them on the procedures to follow in lodging any complaints.

Meanwhile, De silva adds investigations are currently underway by the Authority's Technical and Regulatory Unit to determine the cause of the surge.
