The seven men charged for the alleged murder of 16 year old Zoya Bibi appeared in the Suva High Court today before Justice Nazhat Shameem this morning.

Judge Shameem has adjourned the case till next Tuesday when the Court will hear the bail application and will also read the charges to the seven.

The High Court could not proceed with the case today as Director of Public Prosecutions lawyer Pita Bulamaivalu told Justice Shameem that the Magistrates Court had not sent full information of the case to them which includes the charges and as a result they cannot proceed.

Out of the seven, Kishwar Nand was represented by lawyer Mehboob Raza.

Nand, Binesh Kumar, Anil Singh, Anesh Ram, Vikash Chand, Sat Diwan and Ilaitia Waqa are alleged to have murdered Bibi in Narere last month.

Her body was found by some children who were playing near a creek.
