The Flying Fijian coaching staff will use winger Sireli Naqelevuki as an impact player in the opening Pacific Nation Cup match against Japan on Saturday.

Naqelevuki who will return home tomorrow after his contract with the Western Province and Stormers comes to an end this season will provide some experience in the young back line which only has Ropate Ratu as the sole survivor from the side that narrowly defeated Japan 40-39 last year.

Other new players in the back-line are Joe Nasilisili, Jaoji Dakuvula and Nikola Matawalu.

Coach Samu Domoni Junior is still meeting with the Fiji Rugby Union to finalise the 30 member squad for the PNC after several players were ruled out.

Domoni is yet to name a captain to lead Fiji's campaign in the PNC, and the likes of Alefoso Yalayalatabua, Graham Dewes and Dale Tonawai are all in the running.

The Fiji team to play Japan will be named tomorrow.

The Flying Fijian and Japan match kicks off at 3pm on and you can catch a live commentary on our sister station Viti FM with Ravi Sharma and Mika Kaloucava.
