South African based winger Sireli Naqelevuki has joined the Digicel Fiji 7s team ahead of the George 7s this weekend.

Naqelevuki, who played for the Stormers in the Super 14, replaces Jerry Buruto and Niumaia Cakacaka who are injured.

FRU earlier indicated that Turuva Lumelume and Josefa Bole will be flown in as replacements, but with time not in their favour they have decided to only get in Naqelevuki who is already in South Africa.

Naqelevuki, is no stranger to the 7s rugby code, as he was part of the Fiji 7s team in 2007, when we won the IRB 7s series for the first time.

Fiji is in Pool B with Portugal, Russia and Australia and their opening game is at 12.10am on Saturday against Portugal.
