Hundreds of people living in the interior of Naitasiri have been affected due to the flooding of Naqali Bridge yesterday.

The bridge is under two meters of flood waters as the water level continues to rise.

Station Officer Vunidawa Police, Josefa Navitilevu told Fijivillage News that people from Lomaivuna, Vunidawa and Wainimala are waiting for flood waters to recede at Naqali Bridge.

He said a standby boat is ready to take people across the flooded Naqali Bridge in case of an emergency.
