It was a sigh of relief for Napuka Secondary's Under 17 coach, Manu Safifi after his team won their first Coca Cola Deans Tier 2 title yesterday, after they edged Natabua High by 17-15.

Napuka Secondary are first-timers into the competition and the boys worked hard to the last minute to beat Natabua, to please their supporters especially their parents back home.

Napuka will now meet John Wesley in the playoffs next week to try and win to book a spot in the Tier 1 next year.

Looking at the results from yesterday's games, in the Under-15, Swami Vivekananda had a draw game with Sila Central, 10-10, in the Under 16, Navuso beat Lomawai 17-10, in the Under 17, Napuka beat Natabua 17-15 and in the Under 18 grade, Tavua College edged Savusavu Secondary 18-17.

Dudley High School's U16 and Sila Central's U-19 teams have been suspended for one year and are to pay $500 each, after they failed to turn up to the games yesterday.

It has been confirmed from the Dudley camp that the boys and their coach were waiting for the team manager, who had the boys ID with him.

He arrived late and it was unfortunate the bots could not play.

The Tier 1 finals and playoffs will be held in Lautoka next week.
