Fiji 7's wing Neumi Nanuku is highly likely to lead the side in the Wellington and San Diego 7's tournament.

Nanuku is expected to take over from Etonia Naba, whose captaincy armband has been stripped off because of disciplinary reasons.

Team coach Joe Savou confirmed that Naba failed to turn up to camp on time on both occasion and to maintain discipline, they had to take action.

He said the decision on the captain will be made later but Village sports understands that Nanuku is the only experienced player left in the squad that can captain the side and was also impressive in the Dubai and George 7's tournaments.

Savou also highlighted that the door remains open for Japan based William Ryder, who is expected in the country next week.
