Tim Nanai-Williams has admitted his surprise at reaching 50 matches for the Chiefs ahead of facing the Crusaders.

Nanai-Williams made his debut for the Chiefs back in 2010 against the Sharks, going on to be part of the side that lifted the Super Rugby title last year.

Now despite still being in his early 20s, Nanai-Williams admitted that he felt like one of the elder statesman at the club and was delighted to have hit the target with the Chiefs.

Williams said facing off against the seven time champion Crusaders this weekend would be as great as ever.

The Chiefs will take on the Crusaders at 7.35pm on Friday.
