Tim Nanai‑Williams knows he has taken a gamble by mixing IRB world sevens tournaments with his Super Rugby campaign with the Chiefs but insists it is actually helping his 15‑a‑side game.
Nanai‑Williams has now played three of the four world circuit rounds which he needs to play to switch his eligibility from New Zealand to Samoa in the 15‑a‑side game for this year's Rugby World Cup as well as for sevens at next year's Rio Olympics.
He will play the last one of those tournaments for Samoa in Glasgow in May when the Chiefs have their second bye.
