The Namosi Provincial Council is expected to elect a new chairman at their council meeting today at Ro Matanitobua House in Navua.
Roko Tui Namosi, Samisoni Tuilawake confirmed that the current chairman Ratu Romanu Matanitobua's term has expired after three years in the chairmanship's role. The Roko Tui adds that the Namosi chief is likely to be re-elected.
Tuilawake adds that top of the discussions at the council meeting is the budget and also the Namosi House.
Earlier last month the Bose Vanua of Namosi decided not to support the new changes to the GCC Promulgation 2008 and the People's Charter process.
