“A name can mean a lot and it can also encourage someone to be the best in something.”

These are the words of All Blacks Sevens coach Gordon Tietjens with the first IRB World Sevens Series tournament to kickoff this Saturday in Gold Coast.

Tietjens believes the name change of the New Zealand Sevens team can do wonders for them.

He added his young players can now aspire to become an All Black in the abbreviated code.

Meanwhile, the team will feature six new players this weekend.

All Black sevens team is pooled with South Africa, USA and Canada.

The Fiji Sevens team will leave for Australia tomorrow and will play their first game against Scotland at 2.42pm Saturday.

Fiji will meet Tonga at 5.58pm and will then play Australia at 9.46pm
