Australian based Simone Nalatu arrived last night to join the Fiji netball team at the Edgewater Resort in the Cook Islands.

Team manager Sai Khalik said that Nalatu had her first training run with the girls before breakfast.

Khalik said that Nalatu looks fit and has been having weekly games with her club in Australia and did not find any difficulties in blending her skills with the girls at the gym.

Coach Unaisi Rokoura will name her line-up after lunch, as they are still awaiting the all clear from the organizers of the tournament.

Fiji meets Samoa in their first game at 2:30pm today, their second game is against hosts Cook Islands at 4:45pm.

Their last game is against PNG at 12pm tomorrow.

Fiji will need to finish in the top two at the Pacific Cup to qualify for the 2011 World Championships in Singapore.
