Flying Fijians wing Napolioni Nalaga has been named as the best player in the French championship for the 2008/09 season at a presentation last night.
Nalaga, who joined Clermont in 2005, was the leading try scorer in the Top 14 last seasons with 21 tries.
Nalaga was also named in the French championship "dream team".
The France Player of the Year award was won by flanker Thierry Dusautoir at a "Night of Rugby" organised by the National Rugby League, players union and coaches association.
