France based Fijian winger, Napolioni Nalaga has been named as one of the wingers in the planet-rugby 2008 team of the year.

Nalaga together with IRB player of the year Shane Williams of Wales are the two wingers but the Nadroga man is the lone Pacific Islanders to be in the team that is dominated by New Zealand players.

Although he was shown a red card in the Islanders game against France he has been in dazzling form in 2008 scoring 17 tries in 16 games he played for in his Clermont team in the Top 14 competition.

He has been described as a hulking man to have on the wing as he is full of pace and power, and has the traditional Fijian skills to light up any backline.

Top players who are in the team includes Mils Muliaina, Condrad Smith, Jean de Villers, Dan Carter,  Rocky Elsom, Ali Williams, Bakkies Botha, John Smit and Tony Woodcock.
