Nakelo Hopes For Positive Changes
Nakelo District School is about 15 minutes drive from the Nausori Airport and while the infrastructure is almost perfect and they are so close to the urban centre, poor bus services is a major concern for the students.
School teacher, Mere Halofaki said many students have to walk for miles, which can take about 40 minutes to reach school.
But the problems will not deter these students as Tadra Kahani participant and class 8 student of Nakelo District School, Heilana Ratu said she wants to make her family and Nakelo proud by becoming a doctor.
Nakelo District School has qualified for the final of the Primary Division of Tadra Kahani tomorrow and their theme is Threat to the Underwater World Lets Save Our Turtles. They hope that everyone comes, sees and hears their message to ensure that turtle killing is stopped by everyone.
Also Defending Senior Division Champions Monfort Boys Town is ready to defend their title tonight at Tadra Kahani "The Dream Story Stage Show" tonight at the Vodafone Arena.
Speaking to Fijivillage, student Joseph Nacuva said they're ready to show Fiji what their theme "Unity and Integration of the Human Being", is all about, as they take on nine other Secondary schools.
Nacuva said at the end of the night it will all boil down to the judges decisions.
The ten Secondary schools taking part tonight are, Rishikul Sanatan College, International School Suva, RKS, Tavua District Secondary School, Gau Secondary, Coral Island Academy, Lomawai Secondary School and Cuvu College.
Tadra Kahani starts tonight at 7 at the Vodafone Arena.
