Nakelo District base theme on true story
Nakelo District School's Tadra Kahani theme "Angels on Assignment" is based on a true story about a student some years back who was brought up by his grandmother and did not have any lunch and often relied on the leftovers from his classmates.
School teacher Master Niumaia Rawalui said they believe that it’s also happened to other students in Fiji and it’s important to highlight this issue so that help can be forthcoming to those students who are going through similar problems.
Nakelo District School took part in Tadra Kahani for the first time last year and was crowned the 2008 Junior Division champions.
Their theme last year focused on "Saving The Turtles".
This theme came at a time when many people were raising their concerns about the number of turtles slaughtered and eaten during the Methodist Church Conference in Macuata.
This year's Tadra Kahani kicks off at the Vodafone Arena on Wednesday night.
Tadra Kahani will be held from Wednesday to Friday and you can get your tickets from the home of Fijivillage here at 231 Waimanu Road and at the Boombox at Downtown Boulevard.
