New Zealand's Foreign Minister Murray McCully has confirmed that Flying Fijians lock Leone Nakarawa is now free to enter New Zealand if he is selected in the Flying Fijians team.

According to Allblacks.com McCully said the New Zealand Government has been advised that Nakarawa has resigned from the Fiji military forces, clearing the way for him to play for his country at the upcoming Rugby World Cup.

He added that the New Zealand government will grant Nakarawa a temporary exemption from the travel sanction.

Meanwhile, Fiji Rugby Union Manager, Pio Bosco Tikoisuva said they have received an email from the New Zealand Immigration however an official statement will be made later this afternoon.

The Flying Fijians final 30 member squad for the Rugby World cup will be named this afternoon after the final of the farebrother challenge between Nadi and Nadroga.
