After the heats in the Intermediate boys 100 meters, Suva Grammar School looks favorite to take out the event as Lepani Naivalu and Waisale Ledua came through their heat with ease.
Naivalu and Ledua hold the fastest time in the event clocking 10.8 seconds during the zone meet but Beretabua Korolevu from QVS is the other runner who is expected to take the race to the wire when the final gets underway later today.

In the boys division there is currently a tie between Marist Brothers, Natabua and Lomary Secondary School with 1 Gold each.
In second place there is also a tie between Nadarivatu Secondary, Khalsa College and Kadavu Provincial all with a silver medal each.
In the girls division:
Tied in the first division are defending champions ACS, Nadarivatu and Napuka Secondary all with 1 Gold medal each.
A lot of talk in the 100m in the senior division about whether we will see the 17 year old record will fall as a four way battle will take place between defending champion Suva Grammar's Mataiasi Savou, Sila central's Nikotimo Radiva, Lelean's Isoa me and Marist Brother High School's Banuve Tabakaucoro.
Meanwhile, a battle also looms in the Junior girls 100 meters final later today where Adi Cakobau's Elenoa Sailosi is expected to go head to head with Sisilia Seavula from Saint Joseph Secondary School.
Looking at earlier results, Mereseini Naidau of Nadarivatu Secondary School took first place beating defending 2009 champion and school mate Salote Naiula as well as Adi Cakobau's Akesa Drotini.
Silver went to Makitalena Nagonevulavula of Waidina Secondary School with the Bronze going to Oripa Adicoka of Vunisea Secondary School.
Meanwhile Urupeni Senibulu of Marist Brothers kick started their campaign to end their three year drought by claiming the school’s first gold medal in the Junior Boys 1500 meters finals
The silver medal going to Inia Sili of Shree Gurunanak Khalsa School, with the Bronze going to Zubair Dean of Suva Muslim college.
Meanwhile, in the Intermediate Boys 1500m finals Natabua High School's Muni Chetty grabbed the Gold Medal, with silver going to Jack Niubalavu of Kadavu Provincial Secondary and Bronze going to Peni Keteiwai of Nadarivatu Secondary School.
In the Senior Boys 1500m finals, Lomary Secondary's Varasiko Toge bagged the Gold Medal. Silver went to Nadarivatu's Jone Draunileba and Bronze to Koto Tavei of Nadroga Arya College.
