The Fiji Mens 4 by 100 metres relay team has faced a huge setback as sprinter, Lepani Naivalu will not be part of the team today.

Naivalu will be replaced by Isikeli Rokowaqa and team Fiji officials are confident of a good performance.

Athletics Fiji President, Albert Miller said the relay events are the ones they have been waiting for and Naivalu's exclusion has caused a bit of a problem for them.

The 4 by 100 metres Mens relay final will start in the next hour where Beniamino Maravu, Isikeli Rokowaqa, Ratu Tira Narara and Banuve Tabakaucoro will feature for Fiji.

The Mens 4 by 400 metres relay final will start at 1.05pm where Fiji will field Eugene Volmer, Banuve Tabakaucoro, Beniamino Maravu and Roy Ravana.

The Womens 4 by 100m relay final will start at 11.45am while the 4 by 400m relay final will start at 12.45pm.

Fiji will field Litiana Miller, Paulini Korowaqa, Sisilia Seavula and Miriama Senokonoko.

In beach volleyball, the Fiji mens team will play in the semi-finals against American Samoa at 5pm.

Our Mens soccer team will also go up against Tahiti today at 3pm for the bronze medal playoffs.

Looking at the medal tally, Fiji is still fourth with 28 gold, 32 silver and 37 bronze.

New Caledonia is first with 92 gold, 82 silver and 40 bronze while Tahiti is second with 48 gold, 32 silver and 35 bronze.

Papua New Guinea sits third with 34 gold, 19 silver and 41 bronze medals.
