FRU has today confirmed that Naitasiri has lost 4 points due to the fielding of an unregistered player in their match against Ovalau in Round 3 of the Skipper Cup competition at Nasau Park, Levuka.
The Ovalau rugby union filed a complaint against the Naitasiri Rugby Union for fielding the player, Epeli Naiti-toko-vai, saying that he was not registered under Naitasiri.
Therefore, the games committee ruled that the match points be reversed and the 4 points to be awarded to Ovalau.
