The Methodist Church of Fiji has informed the Naitasiri Provincial Council that the Methodist Church Conference Meeting that was supposed to be held in the province this August, will not go ahead.

Naitasiri Circuit Minister Reverend Moave Tavakula informed the members of the Provincial Council that Methodist Church President Reverend Ame Tugaue has traditionally informed the Qaranivalu, and Ratu Inoke Takiveivata informed Reverend Tavakula to inform the members.

Reverend Tavakula said the three circuits of Naitasiri, Matailobau/Wainimala and Vunidakua had already heard from the media that the conference will not be held, but they are rest assured that the church has finally relayed the message to them.

While opening the Naitasiri Provincial Council Meeting yesterday, Commissioner Central Colonel Mosese Tikoitoga told the members that the province will only do well if the Vanua, the Church and Government work hand-in-hand.
