The Bose ni Vanua of Naitasiri met this morning in Vunidawa to determine whether the Chiefs from the province will attend the Bose ni Turaga meeting scheduled for later this month.

A spokesperson Ro Seru Tuisese told Fijivillage that the meeting chaired by the Qaranivalu Ratu Inoke Takiveikata resolved that they will wait for the decision of the Kubuna Confederacy meeting to be held sometime next week before making a decision.

Ro Tuisese said the Naitasiri Chiefs will then make a final decision on whether to attend the Bose ni Turaga.

Meanwhile, Chiefs of Tailevu are unlikely to attend the Bose ni Turaga meeting at the Queen Elizabeth Barrack schedule to be held on the 16 and 17th of this month.

Speaking on behalf of the Bose Vanua of Tailevu, the Toranibau Ratu Veiwili Komaitai said he did not receive any invitation and it is unlikely the chiefs of Tailevu will attend the meeting.

Another Bau chief Ratu Epenisa Cakobau said he also did not receive any invitation and is urging other chiefs of his province to boycott the meeting.
