Naitasiri 2 beat defending champions Lautoka 1, 22-10, at the Fiji TV Sigatoka 7s tournament that ended yesterday.

Lautoka 1 was led by 7s national rep Watisoni Votu, and they led 10-7 at half time but Naitasiri with the experienced coaching staff of Waisea Radrodro, Oscar Umuumulovo and Lance Whippy mapped out a second half comeback, that saw them edge the defending champions at the final whistle at Lawaqa Park.

Outstanding for Naitasiri 2 was former national 7s squad member, Timoci Vakadranu who again showed that he has what it takes to be considered for a national outing.

The second leg of the Fiji TV 7s series will be held in Nadi in January next year.
