The Attorney General and Tourism Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said the Naisoso development project is timely and fits in well with the government's focus on liberating and growing the economy.
Sayed-Khaiyum launched the new $450 million luxury Tourism master plan on Naisoso Island last night.
He added the project is a positive message to some negative reports about Fiji transmitted abroad.
Managing Director Bob Lowres had similar sentiments.
Meanwhile, ANZ Bank supported by the Fijian Development Bank is the leading tourism financier in the Pacific has financed the development.
The sophisticated 5-star resort set amongst an ecologically protected marine park will be completed in December.
