Fiji born Api Naikatini could see his dream come true of playing in the Super 14 competition from next season.

Naikatini who plays for Wellington as a lock, is one of the 35 players added to next year's Super 14 wider training group for the five New Zealand Super Rugby franchises.

Naikatini is named in the Hurricanes team.

The 35 players named today will act as back-up and provide injury cover for the full squad announced in Auckland last month.

The Super 14 competition will kick off in February next year.
