Digicel Fiji 7s rugby team player and Wardens winger Leo Naikasau may play at hooker in the Dubai 7s which starts today.

Coach Ben Ryan said the stocky Namosi flyer can play in a number of positions and he is an aggressive player similar to Lepani Botia.

There is a possibility that Ryan will also try out New Zealand based winger Jona Tuitoga at hooker.

Fiji’s first game in the Dubai 7s is against USA at 8.16 tonight, then Canada at 12.46am tomorrow before facing England in their last pool match at 5.02am.

The Fiji 7s rugby team is likely to meet either Australia or Wales in the cup quarter finals of the Dubai 7s barring any upsets.

If Fiji progresses, then they are expected to face either New Zealand or South Africa in the semi finals.

Meanwhile the Fijiana 7s team bowed out of the cup competition of the Dubai 7s after losing two pool matches.

The women’s team thumped Ireland 38-5 in the first match before going down to USA 24-19 and New Zealand 33-7.
