Fijian born Waisake Naholo is ready to fill in the big shoes of team mate George Moala who was injured last week.

Blues head coach Sir John Kirwan has rolled the dice and taken what can only be described as a calculated gamble for today's tussle with the Bulls in Auckland.

Sir Kirwan has made six changes to the team that played last week with six debutants.

Sir Kirwan added that three wins to start the year would be a dream result for the Blues.

Baden Kerr will start at No.10, Steven Luatua will be moving to the back of the scrum along with Kane Barrett at No.6.

The Blues will host the Bulls at 3.05pm today.

Meanwhile in last night's results, the Highlanders suffered a shock defeat to the Cheetahs 36-19 at the Highlanders home ground, Brumbies thrashed the Waratahs 35-6, the Stormers secured their first victory after beating the Chiefs 36-34 while the try-less Sharks put their boots into Southern Kings 21-12 to hold on to their unbeaten status.
