What do the Highlanders have in common with the world's best selling cookie?
As they eye up this weekend's Super Rugby derby against the Blues, they hope the answer is more tries.
As a back three, All Black fullback Ben Smith and Fiji born wings Waisake Naholo and Patrick Osborne are among Super Rugby's elite.
The Highlanders trio also go by a very original nickname called “The Oreo”.
Osborne said that Smith is the cream among the three.
Naholo and Osborne are arguably the top wings of Super Rugby this year.
It hurts every time Waisake Naholo turns up to play.
It just seems a tragedy that someone in the form of his life will be lost to New Zealand rugby at the ripe old age of 23.
He is not alone, as New Zealand rugby is invaded like never before, but it feels more personal having watched Naholo on Taranaki fields go from a player of potential to the product he is now, arguably one of the best wings in Super Rugby.
Stuff.co reported that Naholo cannot be blamed for leaving but he is going to one of the world’s best clubs and a lifestyle he would never recreate.
Last year, Naholo was handled poorly by the Blues where he could not reach his potential form.
The Highlanders will face the Blues at 7.45pm Saturday.
In other matches, the Crusaders will take on the Chiefs at 7.35pm Friday while the Hurricanes will face the Waratahs at 4.30pm Saturday.
