Fijian born winger Waisake Naholo has been named to start for Highlanders in their super rugby opener this weekend.
Naholo burst onto the rugby scene playing for the New Zealand Sevens team but moved to the highlanders this season after being with the Blues last year.
As many as seven players could make their debuts for the Highlanders against the Crusaders on Saturday night.
Having sat out the opening round, the Highlanders will look to make a strong start to the Super Rugby competition.
As with last year, Ben Smith and Nasi Manu will share the captaincy duties.
Meanwhile in Super Rugby this weekend, the Chiefs will take on the Brumbies at 6.35pm tomorrow while the Rebels will meet the Waratahs at 8.40pm.
On Saturday, the Bulls will clash with the Hurricanes at 5.10am, the Highlanders and the Crusaders will meet at 6.35pm while the Reds will take on Western Force at 8.40pm.
On Sunday, the Stormers will face the Blues at 3.05am while the Sharks will take on the Lions at 5.10am.
