Waisake Naholo appreciates the privilege of playing for the All Blacks more than most players in the team.

Every step of Naholo's fractured journey to the top has featured a fight with either his body or mind.

Being cut by the Blues further eroded his lack of confidence, and he has twice fought back from breaking the same right leg to regain his spot in the All Blacks.

Along with providing ongoing support for parents Aporosa and Vasiti, Naholo has helped his two younger brother’s move from Fiji to New Zealand to pursue schooling and rugby opportunities.

Naholo is highly likely to be named in the All Blacks starting line -up against Wales at 7.35pm next Saturday.
