There are concerns within the Flying Fijians management team that former Digicel 7s captain and lock Semisi Naevo could be ruled out of this week's match against Australia A.
Semisi is expected to attend his uncle, the Tui Nawaka Ratu Apisai Naevo's funeral who passed away last week.
Speaking to Fijivillage, HPU Manager Peter Murphy said they will await for the team's arrival in Brisbane today before making the final decision.
Meanwhile, Nadroga rugby prop Tiko Matawalu will fly out to Australia this morning to replace Alefoso Yalayalatabua who has been denied entry into Australia. Yalayalatabua is a navy officer and was denied entry due to Australia's travel ban on military officers from Fiji after the December 5th takeover.
In this week's PNC clash, the Flying Fijians meet Australia A at 4pm on Sunday, Tonga play host to Samoa and New Zealand Maori meet Japan.
