Rafael Pau created history for Rotuma after winning their first ever gold medal during the FMF Chow Games today.
Pau won gold in the boys 400m U14 event and settled for silver in the long jump event.
The class 8 student says he is really honoured to win the first ever gold medal for Rotuma.
Meanwhile, Maia Ramsden of Suva Blues who won two gold medals says she was surprised that she won two medals.
Ramsden won gold in the U13 girls 1,500m and 800m.
The 13-year-old International School Suva student says the 800m event was her toughest race.
Also Unaisi Tagabale of Nadroga/Navosa won two gold medals.
Tagabale who attends Nokonoko Nadroga Primary School says she was happy with her performance as she achieved her goal.
Tagabale won gold in the U12 girls 100m and relay event.
The Class 6 student says she made her parents proud today who were watching at the stadium.
Meanwhile, Nadroga/Navosa has won the girls division of the FMF Chow Games at the ANZ Stadium.
They won with 13 gold, 12 silver and 5 bronze. Suva finished second with 10 gold, 7 silver and 5 bronze while Bua finished with 5 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze.
In the boys division, Suva has won the title with 10 gold, 9 silver and 4 bronze.
Nadroga/Navosa finished second with 8 gold, 11 silver and 5 bronze while Lautoka finished third with 8 gold, 8 silver and 9 bronze.
