The Turaga na Kalevu Ratu Sakiusa Makutu has revealed that the Bose Vanua and provincial council of Nadroga/Navosa will not support the new GCC Regulation promulgation 2008 and the People's Charter process.
Speaking in Fijian on behalf of his people, Ratu Makutu said the chiefs have decided not to support the Charter process and the changes to the GCC promulgation because he was one of the ousted GCC members who is currently challenging the interim government's decision in court.
Other chiefs challenging the interim government's decision include the Tui Tavua Ratu Ovini Bokini and Ratu Epenisa Cakobau.
Meanwhile, Ratu Makutu denies a report in one of the local dailies on what Ratu Nawalowalo claimed that they have agreed to the People’s Charter process and the new regulation of the GCC Regulation Promulgation 2008.
