Nadroga has once again successfully defended the Digicel Cup title and created history to become the first team to win in it three years in a row after beating Suva by 21-12. 

The Stallions were leading in the first half by 13-9 with a try from outside center Savenaca Rawaqa and two penalties from Nemani Raiwalui.

Flanker and impact player Iliesa Ratuva had the final say in the match, scoring the last minute try for Nadroga. 

Suva’s Isoa Donalson kicked a penalty while Tevita Basudra kicked three.

Nadroga’s captain Setefano Somoca said the win is dedicated to all their fans.


Meanwhile Suva’s hooker Viliame Veikoso said Nadroga was hungry for the win.


Veikoso added that they will now set their focus to defend the Farebrother Sullivan Trophy which kicks off next week.
